More details have emerged regarding Scott Weiland's death. TMZ reports that the tour bus, where his lifeless body was found, was packed with drugs that the rocker might have consumed before his demise.
Some drugs that were spotted were two bags of cocaine, Xanax, two brands of sleeping pills, Viagra, and Buprenorphine. There was also Ziprasidone in the bus, but Weiland is assumed to have taken it for his bipolar personality disorder.
The search warrant has indicated that these were all found in the former Stone Temple Pilots vocalist's bedroom. The source correlates this to the previously disclosed information that his body was also found in the bedroom as well.
The rock star's family hopes that the public won't glorify this tragic incident. Mary Weiland, the artist's ex-wife, composed an open letter saying that her former husband died long ago -- and his death last week was merely the day the public will use to formally mourn his loss and the last time he'll be up on stage performing. Other than that, her kids already bade goodbye to a person who was once their father a long time ago. She shares her painful ordeal of keeping up with his drug addiction, and she elaborates on how it has affected the lives of their two teenage children.
Mary notes that the public has a tendency of glamorizing such incident, and she urges them to not think that way but to realize the harsh realities of drug abuse. She writes in the long letter, "Our hope for Scott has died, but there is still hope for others. Let's choose to make this the first time we don't glorify this tragedy with talk of rock and roll and the demons that, by the way, don't have to come with it. Skip the depressing T-shirt with 1967-2015 on it -- use the money to take a kid to a ballgame or out for ice cream."
