The Xavier Institute in X-Men is a huge multi-winged, single family residence where Prof. Charles Xavier trains the mutants, but if he ever wants a place with some symbolic relevance, he should definitely check out this 'X'-shaped mansion in Long Island, New York, which just hit the market for $12 million.
The estate at 20 Plover Lane, Lloyd Harbor, looks like four castles have been stuck together from the back to form a giant "X" shape.
The luxury waterfront property's listing is held by Nikki Sturges of Daniel Gale Sotheby's International Realty.
The unique residence sits on a large 4.47-acre lot and spans an area of 16,754 square feet. Comprised of eight bedrooms and 13 bathrooms, the residence was built in 2004.
According to the Zillow Blog, the extraordinary floor plan of the mansion was designed to bring in more light and ventilation into each of the rooms in the residence. No wood framing has been used in the construction. The mansion is built with just cement and imported stone.
Interiors of the home feature high soaring ceilings, three windowed walls in all of its four wings and stone tiled and hardwood flooring.
There are multiple dining rooms, sitting areas, music rooms and other living rooms in the mega mansion, which would make it all the more perfect for the "Xavier Institute for Higher Learning."
There is a huge modern kitchen:
An indoor pool:
And ample greens outside where the X Men can easily land their Blackbird!

The listing agent tells Zillow:
"It's just done magnificently," she said. "It's a house with quality, quality and more quality."
We hope Marvel is listening. Meanwhile, tak a look at more pictures of the stunning residence here.
