"The Witcher" fans of the series are hoping that the series should not end with "Wild Hunt," and CD Projekt Red CEO, Adam Kicinski, totally agrees with it. However, Kacinski added that it is too early to talk about the fourth installment.
"The Witcher" series fans are on a mixed emotions. They are both happy and sad at the same time with what Adam Kicinski had recently announced during an interview at the TVN24BiS, a Polish TV station.
"It's too early to talk about it, but it's not like we're forgetting about this brand - that's understandable... It wouldn't be fair towards the fans. We work within this universe for over a dozen years now and I don't think it's going to be the end of it," Gamepressure translated the interview.
"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" is actually the final chapter of Geralt's adventures and there is no doubt that the last installment was a very good game, which "The Game Awards 2015" has proven. "Wild Hunt" have taken home two awards, which include the highest award for the night, "The Game of Year." The game has a total of seven nominations and as of August, it has sold six million copies so far.
CD Project Red's co-founder, Marcin Iwinski, has stated in a previous report that the franchise needs to take some break and some rest. The company is also busy with another big project, the "Cyberpunk 2077." It is another ambitious game and is said to be much bigger in terms of complexity and size, compared to "Wild Hunt," GameSpot reported.
"The Witcher" fans are advised not to put up very high hopes for "The Witcher 4." However, they can still look forward to the next paid DLC of "The Witcher 3" entitled "Blood and Wine." It is scheduled to be available in 2016 and will give 20 hours of gameplay.
