It seems as though New York City is always the subject of some sort of supernatural trouble. However, it's not the Avengers who are coming to save them this time around.
In case you haven't guessed it yet, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, will be the one to defend the beloved city, as evidenced by the new trailer for "TMNT 2," "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows."
The "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" sequel is welcoming some familiar faces, as well as some new ones. Mashable reports:
"In addition to Megan Fox, Will Arnett and the turtles, who all reprise their roles from 2014's 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,' the trailer features appearances by new faces Tyler Perry, Stephen Amell, and - of all people - Laura Linney. Director David Green takes over for Jonathan Liebesman, helming the turtles' characteristic wisecracking and action sequences."
Alan Ritchson, Jeremy Howard, Pete Ploszek, and Noel Fisher will be reprising their roles as the TMNT Raphael, Donatello, Leonardo (previously voiced by Johnny Knoxville), and Michaelangelo.
With its slew of bad reviews in 2014, it seems as though the Michael Bay- produced film is banking on a huge nostalgia factor to bring in some viewers. In fact, the trailer even features a remixed version of Run DMC's "It Tricky."
Not only that, but die-hard fans of TMNT will recognize some characters in the new film: "Arrow" star Stephen Amell plays the role of Casey Jones, while "The Internship" actor Gary Anthony Williams and WWE Star Stephen "Sheamus" Farrelly take on the role of villains Bebop and Rocksteady, respectively.
Tyler Perry will also take on the role of scientist Baxter Stockman. Meanwhile, "Jurassic Park" star Brian Tee is set to portray Shredder, as reported by Coming Soon.
