Rumors about the early release of the "LG G5" do not stop from surfacing online. It was said that instead of the usual second quarter launch that LG is known for, the "LG G5" may be unveiled as early as February. It will then come with the rumored "LG G5" features of improved cameras and a biometric security system - the one major thing the "LG G4" missed.
"LG G5" Specs
According to a rumor that came from Taiwan, the "LG G5" will sport a QHD 5.6" screen and it will have a metal unibody. For the camera, it was said that the "LG G5" will use a big 1/2" sensor with a 20 MP to 21 MP resolution. This shall be a very good improvement of G4's 1/2.6" 16 MP camera. For the front cam, the "LG G5" may sport an 8 MP front snapper, but no words confirm whether this next phone will still have the unique dual cam feature the "LG V10" has.
Furthermore, the "LG G5" may come with a fingerprint sensor that its G3 and G4 predecessors failed to have, it was only the V10 who got the feature. In addition to this biometric security feature, there are also reports saying that the "LG G5" may also come with a Lumia style security feature which is the iris scanner. For the G4's chip, it was said that the phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset which is Qualcomm's 'top dog'. LG went for a second best chip with the "LG G4", so this one should be better.
So far, these are the only things that we know about the upcoming "LG G5". If the company really aims to improve from the G4, then it simply means that the phone will be a really good one, considering how satisfying the "LG G4" is. It came with 3 GB RAM, 128 GB max storage capacity, a fast charging and wireless charging enabled battery, and a massive battery size of 3000 mAh. If the "LG G5" can beat that, then it should be another LG phone that can rival with the more popular smartphone brands.
