Just this week, Apple introduced to us the Smart Battery Case for the "iPhone 6S" and iPhone 6", which unfortunately, got interpreted by people in a negative way. Does the battery case imply Apple's admission that the battery lives of both the "iPhone 6S" and the "iPhone 6" aren't reliable enough? That's clearly how some people look at it. But according to Tim Cook, that's not the reason behind the development of the Smart Battery Case.

The popular CEO insists that the case is simply for emergency usage and not for everyday reliance like how other people thought it to be. The case is actually intended to keep your phone charged when you are on long trips. Cook said that if you are charging your phone on a daily basis, the smart case may not be necessary. But if you will stay outdoors for a longer period of time, probably on overnight trips or hiking, this Smart Battery Case shall be your savior from losing power.

This Smart Battery Case had its fair share of online bashing and criticism, some people even called it one of Apple's ugliest products ever released. However, Cook begs to disagree and he defended the case's design. It was implied that the way the battery curves down at the back of the iPhone was purposely planned and decided, and it shall be the most clever way the case should be designed.

If Cook is true to his words that the case wasn't developed to resolve battery life issues of its flagship phones, then it would appear that Apple does not think their phones have battery life problems. But iPhone users still hope that Apple starts releasing iPhones with better battery performance. We have heard a lot of good things about iPhones, and it includes praises about its premium design, usability, and its near perfect security system. However, we have (almost) never heard anyone say that the devices' battery life is better than its rivals, especially with the "iPhone 6S". As per TechRadar, the device has a great design, a stable OS, and a really good 3D Touch addition. However, its battery life does not impress.
