The most awaited X-Men: Apocalypse trailer has teased fans all over the world last Friday, and it seems like the director himself is just as excited as the rest of us. While he is careful not to give huge spoilers, the Bryan Singer is more than willing to spill some details about the new trailer, in a phone interview with Empire.

The trailer opens with a young Jean Grey, played by Sophie Turner, telling Charles Xavier about her vision of the destruction Apocalypse will cause. Charles, who is now running his own school for young mutants, assures her that it was just a dream. An apt soundtrack, "The Hunted" by Snow Ghosts, plays as the scene focuses on Oxford, then on the villain's recruitment of his four horsemen. The first one is the young Storm, played by Alexandra Shipp. Apocalypse goes on to say that he has been called so many names before, clearly pointing out that he is a god. But he wakes up and not everyone gives him the respect that he thinks he deserves. "All of it lacks symmetry, order and devotion to him. It needs to be culled. It needs to be wiped away and rebuilt again," Singer shares his thoughts on Apocalypse's 'god complex.'

Actor Oscar Isaac plays the great villain the movie, and the director commends him for being the powerful and imposing character Apocalypse needed to be. Isaac's costume has been criticized all over social media but Singer points out that what the fans have seen is not entirety of Isaac's ensemble. "That was a picture, and there were no visual effects," he defended.

The rest of the young, would be X-Men are seen in a montage following Apocalypse's declaration that all mutants are his children; Nicholas Hoult's Beast, Jennifer Lawrence's Raven/Mystique, Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler and Lana Condor as Jubilee.

The director has also revealed that Quicksilver has another standout sequence just like that amazing Pentagon kitchen scene in the Days of Future Past. He shared that actor Evans worked more days for of a mere 3-minute sequence, which took one a half months to shoot. Singer says, "It involves the most complex camera moves, very sophisticated explosive algorithms, 3D Phantom cameras travelling at 50mph while shooting at 3,100 frames per second.

Singer has also noted Michael Fassbender's performance as Magneto, which he refers to as one of the most pivotal characters in the story. The actor has surpassed the traditional Magneto in the comic series.

McAVoy channeling his Patrick Stewart's Professor X ends the trailer, with a signature bald head and Xavier's iconic wheelchair, which what Stewart also used from the very first X-Men. "It's the original chair from the first movie - we bought it from a collector," reveals the director.

X-Men Apocalypse hits the theaters on May 27, 2016.
