After the shocking mid-season finale, the show creators of "Once Upon a Time" have teased more intense scenes to come when the show's Season 5 returns in March 2016.
The mid-season finale of "Once Upon A Time" Season 5 ended with Emma (Jennifer Morrison) traveling to the underworld after Hook (Colin O' Donoghue) sacrificed himself to permanently remove the darkness in Emma and all the other Dark Ones. According to iDigital Times, co-creator Eddy Kitsis explained in an interview that Emma finally decided to let Hook in her life, and that is why she will do whatever it takes to take him back.
The preview for the return episode of the show, which is also the 100th of the series, reveals that there will be a number of returning characters. Regina will meet her mother Cora (Barbara Hershey) while previous characters like Prince Henry (Tony Perez), The Blind Witch (Emma Caulfield), Peter Pan (Robbie Kay), Sidney Glass (Giancarlo Esposito), Cruella de Vil (Victoria Smurfit) and Milah (Rachel Shelley) will reappear.
With Emma going to the underworld, many fans also speculate that she might run into Neal (Michael Raymond-James) somehow. This will be an awkward situation as Emma will need to explain to him how she felt the need to track Hook in the underworld and not came back for him before.
Yahoo News reports that Kitsis revealed that the second part of the season will be more on getting closure to the characters' past and how it was able to haunt them in the present time. Co-creator Adam Horowitz also revealed that there will be a lot of things that will happen, and they will not just be about finding Hook but also about what happens to Emma and the other characters as they enter a new realm which will make them face both their past and present.
"Once Upon A Time" Season 5B will return on ABC on March 6, 2016.
