Who would want to own the most notable and "The most haunted house in America?" Nobody except Nicolas Cage -- well, he once did. The actor owned the haunted house several years ago.
It was revealed in Movie Pilot that the haunted house, which was used as a main setting in the American TV show "American Horror Story" during their third season, was previously owned by the award-winning actor Nicolas Cage. In fact, he even considered this house his home. He called this haunted property his between 2007 and 2009.
The same source reported that the actor made $40 million in 2007 and owned a lot of properties which includes several homes, and this includes The LaLaurie house which has been abandoned for so long after it was believed as "The Most Haunted House in America."
Based on historical accounts, the haunted house is formerly owned by Madame Delphine LaLaurie who was well-known for her many mutilations and killings of her black servants. Although it was considered a tale, it was later found out that that tale was real. In fact, the house is still standing in New Orleans until now.
Cage doesn't own the property anymore after allegedly experiencing the horrors inside the house himself. "Cage is clearly still feeling the effects of the horrors that occurred there, and all of the strange things he does are really just a cry for help," Movie Pilot stated.
It was said that with his tax problems, he thought it was only sensible that he sell the haunted LaLaurie house.
