"Yo-Kai Watch" game developer Level 5 and has sold 10 million copies following the international release of the title. This is deemed as an achievement for the video game following its roll-out in Japan and in North America.

The "Yo-Kai Watch" sale of 10 million copies comprise both the digital and physical games for the Nintendo 3DS.  This is far more than the seven million copies that was reportedly sold in March.  The distribution outside of Japan boosted the numbers, although it seems that reception for the role-playing game, which is designed for handheld consoles, is not as impressive within its home fort. Still, "Yo-Kai Watch" has topped Pokemon as the best selling game in Japan in 2014, Gamasutra reported.

The excitement for the game was increased primarily due to the release of the anime series.  Fans and gamers, which are mainly kids, also reportedly like the idea that weird adults do not play the game.

CEO Akihiro Hino reportedly said that the game is something that the whole family can enjoy, given that while children can enjoy it, the adult members of the family can also play because of its features and functions.

"Yo-Kai Watch" is a role-playing video game that takes gamers into a world of challenge and excitement.  The main task is to capture and even battle Yo-Kai, Japanese mythological creatures, The Hacked News reported.

The "Yo-Kai Watch" was first released in 2013 by Nintendo, the franchise has since expanded to include comic books, movies, anime, and toys.  This comes as no surprise as the Yo-Kai Watch founding president has been quoted as saying, "From the very beginning we developed Yo-Kai Watch to be a cross-media project and not just a video game."

"Yo-Kai Watch" role playing video game is sold in both digital and physical copies and is the perfect addition to the game collection of Nintendo 3DS handheld gadget owners.
