Melanie Griffith is back in 2015 with a vengeance. Her latest Instagram post reveals that she's over haters, who used to criticize her for her looks. The mother of Dakota Johnson shared her unfiltered "I am 58" photo while inviting her bashers to comment on it.
Griffith's social media post comes days after her divorce with her husband Antonio Banderas was finalized. The "Automata" actress has been subjected to social media criticisms for years. However, she proved this time that she no longer has the patience to tolerate her bashers, according to Entertainment Online.
"Here ya go. Unfiltered. I'm 58," Griffith wrote on Friday on her Instagram account. "And I'm in Hawaii Five O playing Scott Caan's Mom. Go ahead... Say some more mean things. Merry Christmas."
Griffith immediately got the support of her fans, with some saying, "Haters always going to hate! You look amazing Melanie."
Griffith's new post follows up the photo she posted last week where her bare legs can be seen as she was relaxing in Hawaii during the time. The actress received spiteful comments about her photo which may have triggered her to finally face her haters, MIRROR said.
Meanwhile, Griffith is facing a rough time following her divorce from the "Mask of Zorro" actor. Despite their divorce, the ex-couple remains amicable with each other.
"We'll always be friends, I hope. We speak to each other every few days and I'm very happy that we're not like many couples, where people can become bitter and angry after their marriages end. I don't see any reason for that," Banderas said of their divorce this year. "Melanie is a woman whom I have loved, whom I still love and whom I will always love," he added.
On the other hand, over the weekend, Griffith spent time with her close pals, Bette Midler, Anjelica Huston, Margie Perenchio and Alana Stewart. The "Working Girl" star seemed to be in good spirits. Before 2015 ends, she is lined up to do many projects which would start next year.
