Last Sunday's episode ended with an absolute cliffhanger, and "Homeland" Season 5 finale episode promises more action scenes and the revelation of Carrie's fate.

In episode 11, Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) was seen running into a train tunnel as she tracked down the infamous terrorist Qasim (Alireza Bayram). Meanwhile, Saul Berenson (Mandy Patinkin) discovered that Allison Carr (Miranda Otto) tricked him again.

According to the teaser that was released on Hollywood Hills, the upcoming "Homeland" Season 5 episode 12 has intense scenes with a lot of gunfire as Carrie tries to stop a speeding train from causing any major damage to the citizens.

In the promo video, Carrie can also be seen fighting off Qasim as she tries to shoot him down, but the terrorist fights back and holds a pole to her throat. Carrie begs Qasim to stop his evil plan since there are hundreds of people waiting in the station and the speeding train could harm them. However, Qasim doesn't seem to care if he hurts a lot of people, and fans would have to find out if Carrie will be successful in stopping him.

In another scene from the video, an American journalist can be heard saying that she thinks that a certain someone is a vital member of the terrorist group who has planned the attack. Although she does not mention any names in the trailer, the scene is followed by a flash of several characters in the show, including Saul and Peter Quinn (Ruper Friend). Other scenes reveal Saul hunting for Alison and Quinn, who is trying to recover from his intense surgery.

International Business Times reports that sneak peak photos for the finale episode of "Homeland" Season 5 also show Carrie alive and well even after all the challenges she has been through the season. In one photo, she can be seen sitting with Otto During (Sebastian Koch), and it seems like they are having an afternoon chat.

"Homeland" Season 5 finale episode will air on Showtime on Sunday.
