It may be time for Mariah Carey to sing "Bye Bye" all the way back home this year.

In case you missed it, Mariah Carey's 1994 iconic holiday hit, "All I Want for Christmas Is You," has been the most played Christmas song in retail stores for the last 20 years.

But all of that is changing now. PlayNetwork has just revealed that Carey has officially taken the number two spot, thanks to The Shins, who has officially taken the top spot with their 2012 cover of Paul McCartney's "Wonderful Christmastime."

Although The Shins took over Mariah Carey's reign, that isn't keeping the "Without You" singer from sharing the Christmas cheer.

In fact, Carey is in the middle of her "All I Want for Christmas Is You" concert series, as reported by the New York Daily News. The mini-concert series will run until Dec. 18.

Catch "Mariah Carey's Merriest Christmas," a reproduction of the concert series, when it airs on Dec. 19 at 10PM on the Hallmark Channel.
