Though the release of the next Samsung Galaxy S7 is still due in March next year, reports of its possible key features are widespread over the internet. The interest of smartphone aficionados are now being stirred by the reportedly possible new addition to the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7. According to a Wall Street Journal report published yesterday, "Samsung Electronics Co. will add a pressure-sensitive display."

Though particular information of the supposed additional key feature of the Galaxy S7 was not discussed in details, many insiders speculated that the said pressure-sensitive screen will be similar to Apple's 3D Touch display which was introduced with the arrival of iPhone 6S in the market. The Verge also added that, "like Samsung's current flagship, the Galaxy S6, the S7 will also reportedly have an 'Edge' variant with a curved screen; one source says the regular, non-Edge version is likely to have expandable storage, unlike both S6 models."

Aside from the reported added pressure-sensitive screen similar to the 3D Touch display of Apple, Samsung will also introduce other new features set in with the Galaxy S7. There were some reports indicating that S7 will also come with an improved charging technology thanks to its fast charging capable "USB Type-C port." Aside from that, android central also reported that a "retina scanner" would also be included in the Samsung S7.

When it comes to its over-all look, The Wall Street Journal stated that "the S7 will look 'largely similar' to the S6, but while the camera is said to have been improved, there will reportedly be no 'bump' on the back of the phone to accommodate the optics." Though there have been no confirmations of significant hardware upgrades, guess we would just have to wait and see the overall performance of the Galaxy S7. Let's wait and check on how this new flagship product would be treated in the commercial market.
