"Fifty Shades Darker" star Jamie Dornan terrified of being tagged a "psychopath" for playing the role of Christian Grey?
Although the filming of the 2017 controversial movie from E.L. James novel has not yet started, talks about Jamie Dornan's concerns for portraying the role of Christian Grey are looming. As Yibada reported, the 33-year-old actor is now concerned that he will be "typecasted" having a psychological sexual disorder just like his role as Grey who is practicing a "BDSM" lifestyle.
"The Irish actor said that he's a bit worried that he will always be typecast as a psychopath," based from the outlet.
What makes the "Fifty Shades Darker" actor supposedly a bit worried about this is the fact that his fans allegedly thinks that he is the same as Christian Grey in real life which is definitely not close at all.
"I consider myself quite light-hearted, pretty easy-going, and I keep playing sick psychopath bastards! It kinda worries me sometimes how comfortable I am in that zone," Dornan said from the publication.
But apart from the concerns that the 33-year-old actor has for his portrayal of the main protagonist in "Fifty Shades Darker," he also reveals that he is indeed very lucky in landing the role and working with the best people in production.
"You know, I'm not naïve as to why people would think it was a bad career choice, or why there is a snobbery about it. But I'm also not stupid, and I knew with director Sam Taylor-Johnson, and cinematographer Seamus McGarvey, the film would be in safe hands. And, you know, it does no harm to be in a film that makes half a billion dollars," the 33-year-old actor said based from the article of Guardian.
Recently, it was speculated that the second installment of the "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie will be more daring and bold than the first one. An offer of a "full frontal" deal was even offered to Dornan.
According to Star Magazine, Dornan was offered a whopping amount of $1.5 million dollars to go full frontal for the 2017 E.L. James' novel movie adaptation.
"They're offering Jamie a bonus of $1.5 million to do a full-frontal scene in Fifty Shades Darker. That's just a starting figure."
Meanwhile Dornan claims that he is excited to play the role of Grey once again and mentioned to People that, "I'm looking forward to embodying Christian again -- and getting a chance to show more of him."
