Looking to buy Google's streaming HDMI dongle? Here's good news for you. The faster and the more colorful Google Chromecast 2nd generation is on sale with an essentially $20 discount. If you think the $35 regular price of the Chromecast is way too pricey, now is the great time to purchase the thing without feeling like you're making a big splurge.
Starting 13th of December and until January 2, you can buy and activate the $35 Chromecast and receive a free $20 Play Store credit. This free credit can be used to buy anything in Google's marketplace - be it apps, movies, TV shows, games, or books. So if you are actually a regular Play Store buyer, it would technically mean that you bought your Chromecast for just $15. But if you're not a constant app buyer, the $15 credit may not be a convincing marketing strategy for you. But still, the Chromecast is one convenient device, so the free Play Store credit can just act as a simple bonus for you.
This very nice deal briefly showed up on the Chromecast Offers page days before the promo starts, but it was immediately taken out (but probably only because it wast posted way too early). Fortunately, the promo is posted back in there as of now. So when you go buy a new Chromecast, just hit the blue 'Redeem' button on that page and you will receive the promised $20 Play Store credit. The same result can be achieved when you use the Offers section in your Chromecast Android app.
Just in case you don't know how convenient the Google Chromecast is, it is a thumb size device used for media streaming. Just plug it into your TV's HDMI port and you can now view stuff from your smart device on your TV. May you be using an Android phone, Android tablet, iPhone, iPad, Mac, Windows laptop, or Chromebook, you can cast your apps and entertainment directly to your TV screen. This device also works with many apps, so streaming media is actually very accessible to you.
