It hasn't been very long since the "Nexus 6P" has been released, but it looks like Google is up for another release in the form of a 7 inch "Google Nexus 7 2016 tablet". This shall be the successor for the Nexus tablet released a few years back, and if rumors are to be believed, the "Google Nexus 7 tablet will be released this coming May." According to a source, this upcoming Google tablet will be manufactured by Huawei, which actually leads to a conclusion that Huawei may have done well with the "Nexus 6P" for it to be a top option for Google once again.
The older "Google Nexus 7 tablet" is already getting big price cuts, which may actually be due to the fact that a successor is coming our way. However, until Google or Huawei speaks up, nothing is pretty much official. Still, rumors saying that Huawei is up for another Google device totally makes sense, considering that the two companies' partnership is unlikely to end in just one collaboration. Plus, three years is far too long for a "Nexus 7 tablet" successor to come our way. This may already be the right time for Google to come up with a new Nexus tab to follow their previous one that was manufactured by Asus.
Right now, the older Nexus 7 tablet model is priced at $100. With that huge price cut, it looks like it should already have a successor anytime soon. If rumors are actually true, the said successor will come with the Huawei patented Kirin 950 chipset and it will also sport a 7 inch display with a 2560 x 1800 pixel resolution. Furthermore with the rumors, there is also a possibility that a July or August release is planned for the "Google Nexus 7 2016 tablet" as there will be a Google I/O event coming up within those months.
Still, all these are just rumors. And while rumors usually come from reliable basis, it's always better to wait for official announcements.
