Huawei, a huge smartphone brand marketed in China and Eastern countries, is reportedly taking a big step and is now on its way to enter the United States.

Huawei Honor is said to be coming to the U.S. in 2016. According to Android Authority, during a recent event in Shenzhen, China, Honor CEO George Zhao mentioned the company's U.S. launch. Zhao teased that the product might make its way to the country during an interview at the brand's two-year anniversary celebration last Dec. 6.

Honor 7 and Honor 6 Plus are the possible handsets heading West. "Honor did not mention they are bringing region-specific devices to the USA, but the initial launch will mostly focus on the company's international devices," the tech site reports.

International Business Times wrote that Huawei's Honor is available in other Western European countries like the U.K.

"The United States market is the highest-end market for Huawei, so we have been planning for a very long time," Zhao said. "The International CES is planned for January, as you know, so you should expect to hear more about our United States plan at that time," he added.

A source from 9to5Google claimed that Honor is aiming to bring Honor 5X. Honor 5X has a 5.5 inch  1080p display, 16GB expandable storage through microSD, and a Snapdragon 616 processor. It has a 13 megapixel rear camera with a dual LED flash, and a 5 megapixel front camera. The Honor 5X went on sale in October, with a 2GB RAM offered for 999 yuan or $155, and 3GB RAM for 1,399 yuan or $217.

In September, Huawei successfully launched the Nexus 6P, which received strong reviews and praises from critics for its external features. A special edition of Nexus 6P will soon be available next year as part of Huawei's CES press event. Invitations are already sent out for a pre-CES party to be held on Jan. 5, 2016.
