"Nashville" Season 4's mid-season finale ended with a wedding proposal, and the executive producers of the show has revealed that there will be a spring wedding when the show returns after a long break.

In the show's winter finale, fans saw Deacon (Charles Esten) getting down on one knee and proposing to his girlfriend Rayna (Connie Britton). This is despite the many conflicts the couple has experienced in the season, which include Deacon's jealousy over Rayna's talents, particularly Markus (Riley Smith). Christian Post reports that showrunner Dee Johnson has revealed that Rayna will say yes to the proposal and the return episode could be the wedding day for the couple.

Johnson revealed that fans should expect wedding bells to ring when the show returns in March. He added that there will also be a little time jump. He also explained that they felt that it was the best time for the couple to move forward in their relationship despite some forces pulling them apart with the different struggles they have faced over the first part of the season. Johnson also said that this will bring significant change to the couple's relationship, although some things won't change much since they have been living together already.

Meanwhile, International Business Times reports that Johnson also talked about the missing character in the show in an interview. Hayden Panettiere, who plays Juliette Barnes, had to leave the show to deal with her postpartum depression, and now that the actress is finished with her treatment, Johnson said that Juliette will be returning to the show soon.

He added that Juliette will be coming back "strong and repaired." The creator did not reveal Panettiere's current condition, but her co-stars like Britton have assured fans in an interview that the actress is doing well and that she has their support in what she needs to do.

"Nashville" Season 4 will return on ABC on March 16, 2016.
