Mobile maker Blackberry will slash the prices of its applications intended for the Priv and other Blackberry handsets. The move of the company is expected as the Yuletide season is at hand. BB owners will be able to buy and download the mobile applications via the Blackberry World App Store, a report from iDigital Times said.
According to the report, Blackberry wants to slash the price of the apps to attract more users during the Yuletide holidays. It's a strategy of the company which also seeks to expand its customer base. It was noted that the apps on sale can be installed in the company's recent devices such as the BlackBerry Priv, BlackBerry Passport as well as older models.

"Many developers have reduced pricing on their apps and there's a little something for everyone in there. Of course, selection will vary depending on your device and region," the report said.
A complete list of the Blackberry apps on holiday sale can be viewed via the Blackberry World. iDigital Times added that "Blackberry also wanted to make the transition to the Priv even easier for users, so it created a new BlackBerry 10 app that will make it easy to transfer content to the BB Priv from the BlackBerry 10 and other selected BlackBerry models."
