A new report about Samsung smartphones has surfaced on Wednesday, saying that several of the company's devices like the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Note 5, among others, will be receiving Google's Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in early 2016, a report from iDigital Times said.
"A newly leaked document shared by SamsungViet includes the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 among those device slated to update during the first quarter of 2016, which goes from January to March. There is also a short list of devices that may update during the second quarter of 2016, which goes from April to June. Samsung has not confirmed these update time frames, and we note that the Galaxy Note Edge is listed twice, which makes us question the validity of this report," the report said.

"However, there has been lots of news of Android 6.0 updates for Samsung devices in recent weeks. Some models of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy Note 4 have received Android 6.0 Marshmallow prematurely and developers have made the leaked software available for those who are tech savvy. In the U.S., T-Mobile has confirmed several Samsung devices, including the Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S5, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Galaxy Tab S2 will update to Android 6.0. However, the carrier has not indicated a roll out time frame for the software on to these devices," iDigital Times said.
