The normally $250 "Microsoft Band 2" recently got a $50 price cut on Amazon, making the device priced at a decent $200. Best Buy also offered the same promo for the "Microsoft Band 2" yesterday, but that was just a flash sale, and is over by now. Amazon UK also offered the device at a £10 discount last week, but that promo is over as well.

The "Microsoft Band 2" received a software update last week and it includes improvements on music controls and notifications, so it's easy to say that now is the best time to get the device as it is now more improved and more affordable as well.

With a "Microsoft Band 2" device, you can enjoy the benefits of a fitness tracker and a notification device altogether. The wearable lets you control your music play from your wrist so you can skip tracks, pause them, or adjust their volume all from your wrist. This shall work with any music app you have on your phone through Bluetooth connection. As an exercise device, the "Microsoft Band 2" also tells you when you have been still for quite some time, encouraging you to get up and move once again. This, on top of the device's tracking tools, makes exercising a priority for you. It's worth noting however that you can turn off the option that bugs you to get moving if you want to take a rest.

It should also be mentioned that the "Microsoft Band 2" is not exactly a smartwatch. It does offer smartwatch functionalities but it does not provide a full smartwatch experience, which makes the $250 price tag a bit too high for some. However, the "Microsoft Band 2" may be one of the best fitness trackers on the market right now. So if you are looking for a fitness band, the "Microsoft Band 2" is a good deal, especially at a $50 discount. But if you want a smartwatch, the "Microsoft Band 2" may not provide you everything that you need.
