"Teen Wolf" Season 5 will be returning with all-new episodes in January and it looks like the infamous pairing on the MTV series, Stiles and Lydia aka 'Stydia' may not take place this season. In an interview with series creator Jeff Davis, the showrunner hinted that the upcoming episodes of the show will continue to explore Stiles and Malia's relationship.

"Teen Wolf" Season 5 Episode 11 will pick up right where the show left off before going on its midseason finale, Entertainment Weekly reported. In an interview with showrunner Jeff Davis, he revealed that the upcoming episode will show what happens after Lydia (Holland Roden) was taken to the Eichen House.
The showrunner further teased fans of an exciting storyline ahead for Lydia during her time at the Eichen House.
"She's a bit like Linda Hamilton in the asylum at the beginning of Terminator 2," he said.
Davis also hinted on the possibility that Scott (Tyler Posey) will become evil after being resurrected from the dead. According to the showrunner, they have yet to explore on the aftermath of Scott's resurrection and how this will unleash his different sides.
"Will it change him for the worse, for the better," the showrunner teased.
Meanwhile, it looks like the most awaited 'Stydia' romance isn't taking place in "Teen Wolf" Season 5B, as Davis pointed out that romance is still possible between Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) and his girlfriend, Malia (Shelley Hennig). The showrunner shared that the show strives for romance, which is "more along the lines of 'Stay alive because I can't live without you.'"
This seemingly shatters the hope of many Stiles and Lydia fans who have been excitedly waiting for the said romance to take place between the two. In a report from Buddy TV, the outlet listed several reasons as to why 'Stydia' should be together on "Teen Wolf." The outlet noted that Stiles and Malia seemed to be better off as friends while Stiles and Lydia seem to share more chemistry together.
