"Gravity Falls" is probably one of the most creative animated series to ever brave the small screens and it isn't quite a surprise to see that many fans were left heartbroken when series creator Alex Hirsch announced the show's finale. While the show is expected to come to a close in the upcoming episode titled "Weirdmageddon III," will there be a reboot for the Disney series?

"Gravity Falls" Season 2 is coming to an end in the upcoming episode titled, "Weirdmageddon III." Series creator Alex Hirsch previously announced this heartbreaking news via a Tumblr post, Christian Today reported.
"The first thing to know is that the show isn't being cancelled- it's being finished. This is 100% my choice, and its something I decided on a very long time ago. I always designed Gravity Falls to be a finite series about one epic summer- a series with a beginning, middle, and end," Hirsch wrote.
This decision reportedly came as a result of Hirsch wanting to end "Gravity Falls" while the show still had that spark among its fans and viewers. This, however, may not be the last that fans will see of the show on TV.
According to the outlet, Hirsch previously opened up on the idea of doing a crossover with another series, "Rick and Morty." Hirsch is reportedly friends with the creator of "Rick and Morty" and hinted on his interest to see both shows cross over with each other.
Meanwhile, "Gravity Falls" spoilers from Movie Pilot shared several hints as to which of the Pines may possibly die in "Weirdmageddon III." According to the outlet, Hirsch has hinted previously that a major character will not make it by the end of the season.
The outlet noted on the possibility that Stan will die and cited one of the show's live actor shorts. During the said clip, Stan mistakes the "Nacho Necklace" as a simple nacho even when the said item is "some weird Bill Cipher talisman." Bill then comes into the picture and tempts Stan into keeping the necklace and Bill taking his soul.
