The latest season of the drama-thriller series "Bates Motel" sent viewers on a literally crazy ride, and now that the show is rumored to return in March 2016, various plot twists for Season 3 are being revealed online. According to a recent report, Norma's character is set to evolve as the story digs deeper into the Norman-Norma relationship. Meanwhile, it was said that the show's executive producer previously hinted Norma's death.
Movie News Guide reports that the series will "get crazier" as Norma Bates' character evolves. It was said that the show will provide viewers a better look at the Norma-Norman Bates relationship, as revealed by Freddie Highmore, who plays Norman, in a previous interview. The actor even stated that "Norman has actually found his real moment of happiness when he is Norma." "I think there is that suggestion, as you say, that there's more to what you actually see taking place. I guess you just have to decide how mad you think he is," Highmore added.
Meanwhile, the show's executive producer Kerry Erin previously discussed Norma and Norma's relationship and actually hinted the former's death.
"He [Norman Bates] has this whole warped, psychosexual, frustrated, messed-up psychology with his mother which also feeds into it... I feel like that [Norma's death] could happen, honestly, at any point. It could happen in any episode from now until the end of the series!" Ehrin told Entertainment Weekly. However, when asked if Norma's death will be the focus of the series' finale, Ehrin replied on the negative and said that it will not be the last thing that will happen in the series. The EP further dished on details that can be expected in the new season, which can all be seen in the said interview.
"Bates Motel" Season 4 will reportedly premiere in March 2016.
