What if you could get an instant facelift without the invasive surgical procedure? Well, there's no need to wonder now, thanks to Plosion: a spray mist that gives the user an instant facelift.

Plosion was created by MTG, a Japanese company. Apparently, the spray device is just as complicated as the formulation: it consists of two liquid chambers, one containing skin serum, while the other has carbonic acid.

As it turns out, the carbonic acid is essential in the spray, as it helps the serum penetrate the skin even better, and helps in retention within the deeper layers of the skin in order for the solution to maximize its efficacy.

Apparently, carbonic-acid based products have been growing in the Asian beauty market. Mashable explains:

"Carbonic acid-based products have been on the rise in the Asian beauty industry. Its proponents say the carbonic acid sets these sprays apart from regular water-based face mists, which spritz water that only sits on the topmost layer of the skin. Other manufacturers also say washing your face with carbonated water can help deep clean pores, slough off dead skin, improve your skin's elasticity and radiance, and freshen up tire skin after a long day."

Mashable's Alicia Tan even tried it for herself. Initially skeptical, Tan sprayed the mist at one side of her face and "noticed a tingling then tightening sensation" on her skin. Look at the results in the photo here.

The Plosion Carbonated Mist Spray is definitely something that can be used for various purposes, and not just an insta-facelift: users can opt to use the spray to freshen up their makeup, to simply rehydrating the skin.

One set of Plosion Carbonated Mist Handy will set you back $283 (it's $399 in Singapore dollars). It includes a mist diffuser, a CO2 cartridge, and two 13ml bottles of Plosion Face Essential Lotion.
