"Super Smash Bros. 4" fans can now have the chance to play as Cloud Strife.  Nintendo has finally released one of the much awaited characters for the game, which the Japanese gaming company announced back in November.

Nintendo made its announcement via the Nintendo Direct Livestream a few days ago, which was solely dedicated to "Super Smash Bros."  Players can now download Cloud Strife, from "Final Fantasy VII" for $5.99 in WiiU or 3DS format.  For those who want it on both consoles, it will just be $6.99.  This announcement really puts a smile on the faces of its fans since they have been longing for it for quite a long time already.

"Super Smash Bros. 4" fans during Nintendo Direct also got the chance to know that Bayonetta will also be joining the game. The character is from Platinum Games but published by Nintendo. She is also the third non Nintendo character to join in.  Bayonetta will be available to download by Feb. 2016 together with Corrin, the Fire Emblem Hero, VG247 reported.

Also included in the "Super Smash Bros. 4" announcement are some costumes that will be made available soon. One that prominently stands out is for the Mii fighter characters.  They can have a Geno costume from "Super Mario" RPG, which was mentioned in a tweet by Nintendo America. The other costumes that will be coming are Chocobo Hat from "Final Fantasy," Ashley from "WarriorWare," Gil from "Tower of Druaga,"  Bionic Armor, Takamaru and Tails and Knuckles from "Sonic."

On a side note, aside from Cloud Strife, there are also other non-Nintendo characters that have been added in the past for the "Super Smash Bros."  They include Mega Man, Ryu, Sonic and Solid Snake.  Another exciting fact about Cloud Strife is, "Final Fantasy VII" was never included in the games that can be played on any Nintendo gaming console.
