Daniel Craig has done a cameo for the much awaited continuation of the Star Wars Saga, 'The Force Awakens,' and he allegedly lied to everyone about it.

Entertainment Weekly interviewed the 007 star back in October for its cover story. Back then the topic was the actor's return as James Bond in 'Spectre.' But there had been rumors that Craig will appear in a  Star Wars' cameo so EW tried to confirm it. The rumor which allegedly came from actor, screen writer and director Simon Pegg, was strongly denied by Craig, and he even gave a strong reply, "Why would I ever bother doing something like that? F-ing hell! Pffft. Play an extra in another movie."

It seemed like a plausible idea at that time for EW writer Chris Lee, because the Bond production was near the set of 'The Force Awakens,' but Craig refused to admit the news.

The actor apparently lied to Lee's face, because according to reliable sources, Craig indeed shows up in the Star Wars film, and at a very important scene at that.

What scene, you ask? Well, if you haven't watched the movie yet, let this serve as a spoiler warning.

Craig allegedly wore a white plastic helmet and played a stormtrooper in one of the most exciting scenes in the movie. One of the new main characters in the film is Rey, played by Daisy Ridley, and she was captured by the First Order because she saw the map to Luke Skywalker's current location. Rey's hands were tied and a stormtrooper, played by the Bond actor, was patrolling her. And Rey tried to use her newfound jedi skills by commanding Craig to free her.

"You will remove these restraints and leave this cell with the door open," Rey tried to control the Stormtrooper. "I'll tighten those restraints, scavenger scum," Craig strongly answers.

Most viewers did not have a clue of this appearance but sources confirmed it actually happened. One person who knew of the cameo told EW that Craig agreed to do it just for fun.
