While "Girl Meets World" season 3 is still on the works, a throwback episode is already planned to surprise viewers who both enjoys "Girl Meets World" and "Boy Meets World."
Enstarz scooped that the third installment of Disney's "Girl Meets World" will be a big comeback for the fans of the two shows "Girl Meets World" and "Boys Meets World." As the two teenaged characters Maya (Sabrina Carpenter) and Riley (Rowan Blanchard) will head on a journey of being high school students in the next season, included in this journey are learning from Cory and Shawn's footsteps.
"Girl Meets World Maya and Riley are growing up, and soon they will take on some of the same trails and tribulations Cory and Shawn faced during high school," according to the outlet. "The 'Girl Meets World' writers teased the upcoming run with references back to Boy Meets World, hinting that similar stories could be in store for Disney's current cast."
The writers of "Girl Meets World" even hinted this to twitter and captioned.
"Let's see. In Season 3 of BMW Cory and Topanga said I love you, Shawn found a guardian in Jonathan Turner, and we visited the 1950's. Okay."
Meanwhile, apart from the inclusion of "Boys Meets World" on the third season of GMW, the article also details that a lot of things will be touched in the storyline and somewhat similar with the last seasons.
"Middle school graduation is just around the corner, and Cory's (Ben Savage) students have started to take on more and more teenage storylines," based from the Enstarz. "From dating to reconciling with absentee fathers, season 2 mixed lighthearted humor with serious subjects, and it appears next season will play out much the same."
