Things got heated up earlier this week when GOP candidate Donald Trump appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" Donald Trump displayed some unlikely agreebility when Jimmy Kimmel loaded up on the questions.

This isn't the Republican candidate's first appearance on a late night show to further his presidential campaign. According to Mashable, viewers were left disappointed when Stephen Colbert "shied away from really digging into Donald Trump" back in September.

However, it seems as though viewers might be pleased with Jimmy Kimmel's turn to interview Trump about his political views. At one point, Kimmel even called out Trump for the latter's stance on Muslims and Mexicans.

Trump then gets defensive about his xenophobia, saying that the Muslim bans would simply be temporary, even boasting about the "many, many" Muslim friends he has.

"Some of them, not all of them - I will tell you some of them aren't so thrilled with what I said, many of them called me and they said, 'You know Donald, you're right. We have a problem. There is a problem,'" said Donald Trump.

No holds barred, Jimmy straight up responded, "Isn't it un-American and wrong to discriminate against people based on their religion?"

After the audience applauds Kimmel for his counter, Donald Trump says, "But look, we have people coming into our country that are looking to do tremendous harm. Look at Paris, look at what happened in Paris - these people, they did not come from Sweden, okay?"

Esquire perfectly provides a good commendation on Kimmel, who was probably the only one with enough guts to ask the tough questions:

"The point is, good on Kimmel for asking the questions that so much of the media is afraid to ask to Trump's face. Kimmel isn't known as the most political guy, or even as a deep interviewer, so it's somewhat surprising that he did it all."
