A new speedster and a new villain will be coming to "The Flash" Season 2 when it returns after the winter break in 2016.

In the sophomore season, the show introduced other new speedsters aside from Barry Allen aka the Flash (Grant Gustin). Earlier, the show introduced the characters Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears), Zoom (Tony Todd), Jesse Quick (ViolettBeane) and Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale). According to Christian Today, the show will add a new character in the name of Eliza Harmon aka the Trajectory.

According to the site's sources, Eliza is described as an excellent scientist who suffers from split personality complex, which is similar to Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. It was also reported that the character will only make a short appearance on the show and will only be a guest character in episode 16 since there is no future plot lined up for her.

According to the original DC Comics, Eliza is another speedster who is also known as the Trajectory who has idolized The Flash and wanted to be just like him. This is why when Lex Luthor started a program which can give people superpowers, she signed up for it for a chance to be a speedster like her idol. However, the procedure altered her mental state which later drover her to insanity. In the comic book, she died when she fought with Luthor.

Aside from having a new speedster, it was also reported that the show will introduce a new villain. Ace Showbiz reports that "Peter Pan" actor Adam Stafford has been tapped to play the role of meta-human Adam Fells a.k.a. Geomancer. It was reported that the character will appear in several episodes of "The Flash" Season 2. In the comics, the character is described to be a dangerous meta-human who has the ability to create earthquakes.

"The Flash" Season 2 will return on Jan. 19 on The CW.
