Lenovo K4 Note, the company's latest version of a phablet, will soon be revealed. It is expected to reach India first. Lenovo is a Chinese-based tech company and is also known as a major player in the PC arena. Aside from laptops, tablets and desktops, they are also producing Android-based devices.
Lenovo India posted on Twitter last Dec. 14, Monday, an announcement about their soon-to-be released phablet: "Prepare for the dawn of the new #KillerNote." The last Lenovo phablet is called the K3 Note, and it is therefore assumed that Lenovo will be calling the new one as the K4 Note. It is expected to be revealed in January 2016, GSMArena reported.
Nothing much is known yet with the Lenovo K4 Note except that it will be powered by a MediaTek Helio X10 chipset. It may likely be coming in with a 5.5-inch screen similar to its predecessor and will be affordably priced, BGR reported.
Lenovo K3 Note fans are expecting it to be an upgrade of what they already have, so it may have a fingerprint security scanner. It is becoming a common feature among the latest phone releases. Even some budget-friendly smartphones have one. It is an additional security feature on the phone itself, plus it is being used for payment authentication in mobile payment transactions. A metal body is also expected on the next Lenovo Note phablet.
For reference purposes, the Lenovo K4 Note's predecessor, the Lenovo K3 smartphone, offers a 5.5-inch display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. It has a 2GB RAM and is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6752 with a clock speed of 1.7 Ghz. It offers an expandable storage up to 32GB via a microSD slot. It is equipped with a 13MP rear-facing camera with a dual-LED flash, and a 5MP front-facing one. Its features are Geo-tagging, touch focus, HDR and panorama.
Lenovo K3 Note is dual-SIM, dual standby, and LTE capable.
