Channing Tatum was over at "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" on Friday night to promote the new Quentin Tarantino film, "The Hateful Eight." Tatum stars alongside Kurt Russell, Samuel L. Jackson, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Walton Goggins, Michael Madsen, and Tim Roth.
But apparently, the highlight of the night wasn't about "The Hateful Eight" - which hits theatres on Christmas Day, Dec. 25. Instead, it was some eggs - on Jimmy Fallon's head.
Fallon invited Channing to play his usual segment, "Egg Russian Roulette," where the two take turns smashing eggs on their heads - not knowing whether if it's raw or hardboiled.
In a surprising turn of events, Channing - who had a perfectly sculpted hairdo - had the last laugh. That's pretty big considering that Jimmy had an ulterior motive in picking which game to play with the "Jupiter Ascending" star. According to Vanity Fair:
"Fallon - who's previously played with everyone from Anna Kendrick to Bradley Cooper to Zac Efron - seemed to select this particular game with this particular actor because it gave him permission to speak in a cowboy voice for four minutes and 28 seconds."
However, it seems as though Fallon couldn't really catch a break (aside from the cowboy voice), since Channing definitely owned Jimmy at his own game. Vulture perfectly explains:
"To paraphrase the great American anthem that plays at the end of cinematic masterpiece 'Magic Mike XXL,' 'All [Channing Tatum does] is win win win no matter what' and yes, that applies to your silly 'Tonight Show' games, Jimmy Fallon. Channing Tatum might seem like America's puppy dog, but no, he is more like America's pet wolf, who succumbs to his competitive instincts when the eggs come out."
By the end of the game, the winner showed his gentlemanly nature by smashing two raw eggs on his own head "in solidarity" after celebrating his own victory.
