Adam Driver is definitely having a good year, and it seems as though there's no stopping anytime soon. It was just announced that the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" star will be hosting the first episode of "Saturday Night Live" in 2016.
It's the start of a great career for Adam. Bustle reports:
"If you only know Adam Driver from the HBO series 'Girls,' get ready to see him everywhere. His career is already reaching new heights with a major role in the new blockbuster phenomenon 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens.' And now Adam Driver will host 'Saturday Night Live' on Jan. 16, 2016 to show off his funny side."
The announcement was made by the official Twitter account of "SNL." The photo was accompanied by the caption, "See you in 2016! #SNL."
Apparently, Vulture suspects that Driver might just "bring back a few of his co-stars, maybe extend 'SNL''s 'Girls' parody, and definitely make you confused about whether you're attracted to brooding Darth Vader-obsessed space goths."
The new hosting gig follows other highly successful accomplishments for Driver: He's got the premiere of "Girls" sixth season in February, in addition to starring alongside Kirsten Dunst in a Martin Scorsese film called, "Silence, Midnight Special."
And if you haven't heard the news yet: "The Force Awakens" already garnered more than $250 million gross on its opening weekend alone, as per Comic Book.
In case you somehow missed it, Adam Driver plays Kylo Ren - typically deemed as the villain in the latest "Star Wars" movie. However, in an interview with USA Today, Driver explained how he sees the character differently than most audiences:
"I didn't think of him as a villain. I guess - working on it - through J.J. [Abrams], kind of hearing what had to say about him, tried to - hopefully - make him as human as possible. So that's where [sic] we started, as opposed to an end result we tried to think of how that person began."
Adam Driver net worth is $2 million.
