"Criminal Minds" revealed that the former star of "Parks and Recreation" Aubrey Plaza is appearing in the upcoming mid-season premiere called "Entropy." She will play as the latest love interest of Spencer Reid.

The "Criminal Minds" mid-season premiere is expected to be filled with complicated circumstances, particularly when Reid finds out about the real person behind his latest love interest. Playing as guest celebrity in "Entropy," Aubrey Plaza will be playing the role of Reid's girlfriend named Cat Adams,  Fashion & Style reported.   

"Criminal Minds" lead star Matthew Gray Gubler just had a sit down interview with CarterMatt wherein he discussed his thoughts about working again with Aubrey after their starring roles in the 2014 movie "Life After Bath," and his perception of Reid's psyche as well.

According to Gubler, he based the characteristics of Reid on his beloved friend who just passed away, making sure that he wears the watch of Reid as a sign of respect to an eccentric friend. The star also added that one of the Spencer Reid characteristics that he got from his friend includes the wearing of watch outside of the sleeve in order to save time whenever he wanted to check the time.

Moreover, the TV series' lead star also disclosed the fact that a lot of the episodes in this TV series gave him a number of nightmares. Gubler revealed that all the episodes had given him nightmares that really scare him and sometimes leaves him with all the weird and frightening thoughts on his mind. To fight the negative feelings, Gubler said that he sees to it that he concentrates on the little optimisms found in every episode that they do in order for him to prevent losing his mind completely to the darkness.

"Criminal Minds" season 11 mid-season premiere airs on Jan. 13, 2016, Wednesday on CBS.
