After the box-office hit of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," another franchise awaits fans as "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" will be released next year.

According to Movie Web, the production of the film is currently underway, and it was reported that Director Gareth Edwards and his team wanted to make sure that the action scenes were realistic-looking that's why they hired a real British Army. It was reported that Lucas Film and Disney hired men from the British Forces to serve as part of the Rebel Alliance who, in the movie, are on the mission to retrieve the plans for the Death Star.

According to the site, some of these men were even trained to fly helicopters, so their expertise will surely come in handy. Sources reveal that the men were sworn to secrecy until the movie comes out next year.

As of writing, Edwards is still working on the movie, and production is said to be finished by the New Year. The site's sources say that the movie even filmed in top secret locations at Cardington in Bedfordshire, which formerly served as an airship station for the R101, and it is also the same location where the barrage balloons were developed for World War II.

Meanwhile, Den of Geek reports that producer Kathleen Kennedy revealed that the movie will depart from the "Star Wars" saga films but will have some elements that are familiar to the "Star Wars" universe. She praised Edwards for his work so far, describing him as an innovative director.

The cast of the movie includes Academy Award nominee Felicity Jones, Emmy nominated actor Ben Mendelsohn, "Casino Royale" star Mads Mikkelsen, "Let The Bullets Fly" actor and director, Jiang Wen, Hong Kong action star and martial artist Donnie Yen and Academy Award winner Forest Whitaker.

"Star Wars: Rogue One" is set to be released on Dec. 16, 2016.
