Despite the low turnout of the first film, "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" is having a sequel, and actress Megan Fox has confirmed her appearance.

Cinemablend reports that despite the reviews of the first film, "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" 2 is happening, and Fox has revealed that the sequel will be better than the first. In an interview, Fox said that the second film will be better because they hired a director who is a legit "TMNT" fan. She explained that in the new film, the writers figured out that the movie should be funny, and she added that putting the "Turtles in Gotham City, that's the wrong way to take it."

Fox revealed that the new director for the sequel, David Green, seems to understand the material more compared with the previous director. The site explained that Fox may be right, as some of the best films like "Star Wars" and "The Avengers" had directors who were fans of the material before they even worked with it, which made their big screen adaptations creative and a box-office hit.

Meanwhile, The Spoked Blog reported that the first official trailer for "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2" is coming soon, as announced by Paramount. It was reported that the first trailer will show the turtles, Michelangelo, Donatello, Raphael, and Leonardo, as well as Fox, who will reprise her role as April O'Neil.

The site revealed that two new characters will be seen in the trailer, and these are Bebop and Rockstead. The studio reportedly released a teaser video which was only 14 seconds, and it shows Tyler Perry who will play the mad scientist Baxter Stockman. The video also shows an "electric portal" which scares the people in the city. The short footage also shows the new villains Bebop and Rocksteady in their mutated forms.

"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2" will be released on June 3, 2016.
