The Minnesota Timberwolves is now included in the rumor mill, as an insider shared that the team will soon make some changes in their line-up. According to oregonlive, the Timberwolves is now looking to trade Kevin Martin in order to give more room and playing time to their rising stars. "With second-year guard Zach LaVine showing promise as a scorer and Andrew Wiggins playing more at the shooting guard position, the Wolves are looking to move Martin to free up more playing time for their youngsters," said oregonlive.

The said rumor is somehow based on the chemistry and performances of Zach LaVine and Andrew Wiggins as backcourt tandem. The supposed experiment of the Timberwolves is bearing is some fruits, thus cutting Martin's playing time in the process who is currently averaging 12.7 points compounded by bad shooting at 36.7 percent, according to christiantoday. And such stat somehow confuses the statement of Nuggets coach Michael Malone saying that, "You look at his numbers every year, very efficient offensive player. He has the uncanny ability to draw contact and get to the line."

With Martin's relatively dwindling performance, the rumors of him leaving his current team could somehow be true, especially that some teams are interested on acquiring him. Christiantoday detailed that, "there are reportedly about two teams interested in Martin. One could be the Sacramento Kings (via SB Nation) who are preparing for the probable departure of Caron Butler. Although a potential reunion with the Kings could be well, his return doesn't seem to be something that would impact the fortunes of Sacramento."

If indeed true, then such move could be beneficial for both parties. The Timberwolves could give more playing time to their young cores like Lavine who is "averaging 16.7 points over the last 19 games and shooting 37.5 percent from the 3-point range," shared oregonlive. And the veteran, Martin, on the other hand could get some more exposure and another opportunity in the team who first drafted him back in 2004.
