Ever remember 'Die Another Day,'  the James Bond Movie starring Pierce Brosnan in Halley Berry in Ice Palace?  The real location of a place such as this is in Sweden. There in Jukkasjärvi, a small village that has the ability to create a pop up building of ice. Sweden has been doing this for 26 years now. The snow would be harvested from Torne, a river located 200km north of the Arctic Circle. With 44,000 tons of snow, the builders would create impeccable designs out of the ordinary frozen water. 

Other countries like Canada have copied this idea, but the Ice Hotel in sweden reigns supreme as the new designs did not disapoint tourists visiting the place. As per the Ice Hotel Website, the hotel returns to Mother Nature as it melts down in Spring. The canvasses of the hotel interior are made by different artists from different creative discipline. So their artworks vary every year.

The Ice Hotel is Sweden features 55 rooms. And the price for each rooms ranges from $300-$1000 dollars a night depending on the kind of room you choose. This year, House Beautiful website has featured incredible decorations that have awed the visitors near and far. It surely did not disappoint excited guests. Out of the 55 rooms, 19 of those have elaborate artworks in them. Every room has a different theme.

Sauna bathing is not the only activity you can do there. They also offer ice sculpting activities and photography. You can enjoy riding snow mobiles, wilderness dinning and snow sledding tours. Ice Hotel also offers wedding consultation for bride and grooms to those who prefer to hold their wedding in this winter wonderland.

So much for some cold adventure during this cold time of the year, the ice hotel also gives their guests a selection of a room where one can take sauna baths or shower in a heated bathroom. The beds are made of ice but the mattresses aren't so you can still sleep cozily on their expedition style sleeping bags.
