As per the "Game of Thrones" showrunners: "They have made changes to the plot lines of the TV series vis-à-vis the George Martin's novel, it cannot be denied that the main story lines on the book have been captured by the show."

The website also released spoilers stating that Daenerys will be held responsible for the upcoming war that plagued Westeros. It occurred after Daenerys bought her dragons and her army to dethrone the Lannisters.

Though the cause of delay may be reasonable, but as per Yibada, the "The Winds of Winter" will soon hit the shelves. Rumors have emerged stating that the book would be released early next year. The website then stated that the Wars and Politics of Ice and Fire website mentioned that the book's publishing is scheduled for February 23, 2015.

As per the Yibada website, George R.R. Martin has been doing his best to finish the book in time. During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Martin shared that he turned down several appearances and interviews just for him to finish the book on time.

"I wish it was out now. Maybe I'm being overly optimistic about how quickly I can finish but I cancelled two convention appearances, I'm turning down a lot more interviews-anything I can do to clear my decks and get this done."
