Some residents in a Florida condominium apartment complex owned by Donald Trump want the name of the presidential candidate to be removed from the building's signage.
A petition to be signed by residents is now circulating, stating, "We, the undersigned owners of condominium apartments at Trump Plaza of the Palm Beaches request that you give consideration to putting up for a vote whether to re-name the building 'The Plaza' as was originally the intention of the developer."
Once the petition gets enough signatures, it will be presented to the complex's board.
When the original developer of the twin 32-story towers went bankrupt after the construction was finished in 1985, Trump bought the property for $40 million, carved his name on it and beautified the public areas, as reported by Page Six news.
Now that he is running for president, delivering politically intriguing opinions, some owners of the condominium buildings he owns want his name erased.
