Chloe Grace Moretz has something to say about the recently concluded Miss Universe, and it's not about Steve Harvey's major mix up!
The young actress took her frustrations out on Twitter about the beauty pageant, saying that the host kept sexualizing the women during the swimsuit competition. She specifically pointed out the crude jokes that the host was making during the said segment, and needless to say, it did not sit well with her at all.
She tweets, "Miss universe is still judging women walking around in bathing suits. If it's based on confidence, why r we zooming in on their bodies?.." then adds "It's a new time.. I think it's time we cut the swimsuit section from miss Universe .." She then suggests that the competition should focus on the contestants' personal interviews and that they should be doing more philanthropic efforts rather than parading their bodies on stage. Although she was originally rooting for Miss Slovenia, she then lauded Miss Philippines for being the deserving winner of the revered crown this year.
After the huge mistake by the 'Family Feud' host, this year's ceremonies proved to be the craziest one yet! Given that the production was all done live, there was always room for human error -- but no one was ready for this massive one. Although Steve Harvey has apologized to both parties personally and on the digital space, there is little to none when it comes to recovering from that booboo.
Pia Wurtzbach of the Philippines is this year's Miss Universe, but former owner of the franchise Donald Trump thinks that she and Miss Colombia should be co-winners. Will Ariadna Gutierrez finally wear the crown for more than two minutes? This option however, is quite farfetched, as it would be close to impossible to have two Miss Universes in one year. Try again, Miss Colombia!
