After killing Ward (Brett Dalton), Coulson (Clark Gregg) is going back to Earth as a changed man in the second part of Marvel's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Season 3.

According to International Business Times, Coulson will be disturbed with what he did to Ward. In the mid-season finale, Coulson was able to kill Ward despite failing to save Rosalind (Constance Zimmer).

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, executive producer of the show Jeff Bell revealed that things will be difficult for Coulson when the show returns next year. He explained that he compromised his principles just to get revenge, and this will affect him significantly.

Bell teased that Coulson will now be in a darker place after losing someone who is important to him. Bell added that although Coulson was able to avenge Rosalind's death, he still didn't feel great about killing Ward, which is why he will be mentally disturbed in the second part of the season. With Coulson struggling to find his humanity back, many speculate that he will turn into a dark savage assassin when the show returns.

Meanwhile, Christian Post reports that Bell also warned about the new creature that is coming to Earth that took Ward's body as a host. Bell teased that people on Earth should be "very, very afraid" of the new creature coming, whose agenda is to destroy the planet. It was earlier reported that the inhuman who invaded Ward's body will make the storyline more interesting.

In an interview, Dalton shared some information regarding his new character, calling it Ward 2.0. He explained that his new character is a different person from the Ward the audiences previously knew and that he is a human being "plus something else." He said that fans should watch where the story goes as it could be very interesting.

Marvel "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Season 3 is set to return on ABC on March 8.
