According to the giant search company, 2016 Chevrolet Malibu is the most googled automobile in the U.S. in 2015. Many have probably expected a supercar, but the fair priced $22,500 Malibu tops the list.

Another car from the same company that placed second is the Silverado. In fact, this car manufacturer in America has come up with a wide display of Silverados all throughout the year; that ranged from the face lifted 2016 1500 pick-ups, to the SEMA-tuned variants.

Taking the third spot is the combo-braking Toyota Tacoma, a truck with a base price of $23,300.

Chevrolet would have taken the first three spots, if the Toyota Tacoma did not make it, because the Camaro got the fourth spot. The reason why Camaro was also searched heavily on Google is because it has a little bit of everything with some extras for real petrol heads, as reported by Carscoops news.

The search company in the Silicon Valley has released its report on "Google Trends" for 2015. The first two of the top-ten spots as the most googled car in 2015 in the U.S., belonged to Chevrolet, with the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu on top, and the Chevrolet Silverado as the second most searched for car on Google in 2015.

The third most searched for car is the 2016 Toyota Tacoma followed by the Chevrolet Camaro that finished fourth.

According to the report of the Auto Evolution, the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado is the fourth Chevrolet model to be included in Google's 2015 Trending Car Models, which is on the eighth place.

The following car models that were included on the top-ten spots are: Honda HR-V, Fiat 500X, and Jeep Renegade that placed, fifth, sixth, and seventh, respectively. After the Colorado, it was the 2016 Lexus NX, who got the ninth place. And the one that got the tenth place, is the 2016 Hyundai Tucson.

While Google's Trends interface show only the most searched for car model in the U.S. in 2015, it doesn't show the most searched for car model in the world in 2015.
