The new Iron Banner will be something to look forward to for PS4, PS3, Xbox 360 and Xbox one users, as they can expect to get some final rewards before 2015 ends.
Before the start of 2016, the studio promised that those who ranked up will be given the chance to grab a better gear. According to Bungie, they have revealed that Destiny will be returning to Control but the company is unable to narrow down the launch any closer. Iron Banner is set to come back on Dec. 29.
Community manager David Dague revealed that "hours after Amanda takes down the flags for her Holliday Event, the honorable Saladin (he of the Iron Lords) will raise his own banners in the Tower."
"In keeping with his powerful tradition, one of them will be set ablaze," Dague added. "Champions who rank up can acquire endgame gear from the Lord himself, or from drops that arrive at the end of completed matches. Here's what you'll find in one play for one week."
"Ring in the new year with some gunfire, and score something to make you more powerful as you extend the fight in 2016," he advised players. Some of the gears available for grabs to those who ranked up include: PlayStation exclusive armour, Warlock armour, Hunter armour, Titan armour, Shotguns and Auto Rifles.
Express indicated the ranks needed as post-game drops - Rank 2: Helmets, Rank 3: Auto Rifles, Class Items. Rank 4: Shotgun. Ranks needed as available from Lord Saladin - Rank 3: Boots. Rank 4: Auto Rifles, Helmets, Rank 5: Shotgun. Fans of Xbox One will have the chance to take on the next Sparrow, Dague revealed, Racing Bungie bounty in the hopes of winning an Emblem.
On Dec. 22, Tuesday, will be the next event, which will be broadcasted live on Twitch, UK time at 12pm. Dague also stated that "once these speed trials are over, we'll be stocking every last days of your 2015 calendar with a battle worthy of your trigger fingers."
