Quentin Tarantino received his Christmas present early as he was recently awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The film producer was also in cloud nine that day because aside from the wonderful award he also got a lovely kiss from his girlfriend Courtney Hoffman, a report from the Daily Mail stated.
Tarantino's tribute is under one of the marquees located at the Chinese Theater on Hollywood Boulevard.
The 52-year-old simply said, "I must've become a big shot."
The ceremony was attended by the stars of his latest film the "Hateful Eight" which will open on Christmas day, as well as some of the director's close friends. Present were Samuel L. Jackson, Zoe Bell, Walton Goggins, Tim Roth, Demian Bichir and Jennifer Jason Leigh. Missing in action were stars Kurt Russell and Channing Tatum.
Some of the "Hateful Eight" cast were Tarantino's close friends and regulars such as Samuel L. Jackson who starred in two of the director's films: "True Romance" in 1993 and "Pulp Fiction" in 1994.
Quentin Tarantino dressed casually for the occasion. He wore a denim jacket and jeans, a blue and white shirt and sneakers. Courtney on the other hand, channeled the sixties with her flowery mini skirt and black boots also with a colorful flowery design. Her long straight brunette hair was worn simply with very minimal makeup.
The "Pulp Fiction" director and Courtney have been dating since February last year. She was his date to the Cesar Awards in Paris that time. It was rumored then that Tarantino was seeing friend and collaborator Uma Thurman, but were all confirmed when Quentin Tarantino and Courtney admitted that they were officially a couple.
The event was also full of surprises. Zoe Bell was seen kneeling and seemingly worshipping Tarantino's star while Walton Goggins stroked the star as if it were on an altar.
The "Hateful Eight" will be on limited release on December 25 but will be shown wide on December 31.
