Johnny Depp was mentioned in Forbes' list of "most overpaid actor" for the second year in a row. In a list that no actor wants to find himself in, the Pirates of the Caribbean actor topped all other actors for his box office blusters, an article from E! Online said.

Forbes magazine has released its annual choices earlier today and awarded Depp with this unlikely honor. The "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise may have grossed a combined $3.7 billion but after these films, Depp has failed to come up with a blockbuster since. Some of the films that were not too successful in the box office are "The Lone Ranger" and "The Tourist" to name a few.

Forbes did not just present the award to the 52-year-old actor but the magazine also described that his movies returned $1.20 for every $1 he was paid to be in them.

And since this is a list, there are other actors that have similar returns on investment. The E! News report also mentioned Denzel Washington who has a similar fate as the "21 Jump Street" actor. Washington returns $6.50 for every dollar he receives.

But Edward Scissorhands is looking into reviving his career with a potential blockbuster. He has three films in the making for next year and one of these is another sequel for the Pirates franchise: "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" for 2017. Yes, it is another pirates film but hey, fans loved him as Jack so why not another one?

Johnny Depp did not find himself on the top of last year's list. It was Adam Sandler who was the most overpaid in 2015 and also included in the Forbes' list are Ben Stiller and Ryan Reynolds. Aside from Johnny Depp and Denzel Washington, Ron Burgundy actor Will Ferrell also joins this list.
