"Avatar 2" will reportedly feature a love triangle between Jake Sulley and Neytiri.

According to Movie News Guide, there are speculations that a love triangle storyline will be included in the sequel.

Additionally, the movie will also feature Jake and Neytiri's children who are half-humans and half-Na'vi.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, director and producer James Cameron said that there will be some huge twists and changes to "Avatar 2."

"I'm in the process of doing another pass through all three scripts right now. Just refining. That's in parallel with the design process," he said.

During a separate interview with Collider, Cameron also explained why there has been ongoing delays in the production of the movie.

"It was a very, very uphill battle on the first film. So we've been mostly working on the tool set, the production pipeline, setting up the new stage," he said.

When asked when exactly will the film be released, Corden said that he and his staff and crew are targeting Christmas 2017.

"Christmas of '17 is the target... At least, that's what we've announced. But I don't consider that to be as important as the fact that when we get all three films done, we drop them a year apart. I call it a meta-narrative that runs across the three movies. Each film stands alone, but it also tells one much larger story," he said.

"Avatar 2" will be written, produced and directed by Cameron. He will be receiving help for the extended screenplay from Ric Jaffa and Amanda Silver.

"Avatar 2" is slated for release in theaters in the United States on Dec. 25, 2017. "Avatar 3" is expected for release on Dec. 25, 2018 and "Avatar 4" will be released on Dec. 25, 2019.
