In the wake of the growingly successful release of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" last week, AirVÅ«z decided to share a video of some drones racing to recreate the Speeder Bike chase from 1983's "Star Wars: Return of the Jedi."
In the scene, Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) and Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) "engage two Imperial Army scout troopers in a speeder bike chase."
In case you'd like to relive that Speeder Bike chase scene (pretty sure the answer is yes) from "Star Wars Episode IV," you can watch the video in HD 1080p here.
According to Mashable, the three-minute video directed by Eric Maloney and Jeff Blank uses drones that look like the speeder bikes from the original "Star Wars" movie. But Racing on Endor, the creators, ups the ante by putting action figures of the characters.
To make things even more fun, each drone is piloted by "a highly skilled drone racer" fitted with first person view (FPV) goggles. The goggles allow the operators to see the surroundings from the same view as the speeder bikes.
Not only that, but the video is pretty authentic with their imitation too. The recreation was filmed in the same place as the original film: the redwood forests of northern California.
"Four of the biggest drone racing pilots in the world embarked on a journey to recreate on of their favorite movie scenes ever! The Speeder Bike chase scene from 'Star Wars Episode VI - Return of the Jedi,' said caption of the video (watch here) posted on Facebook.
If you're more into (or better) at video games than racing drones, you can always try playing "Star Wars: Battlefront," too. According to PCGamesN, the EA game "authentically recreates the feeling of being on a speeder bike chase through the forests of Endor."
