Family Feud Host, Steve Harvey, has been said to return as the host of the Miss Universe Pageant next year despite his controversial mistake in announcing the wrong winner in the recent 2015 Miss Universe Pageant.

According to the source of Entertainment Tonight Online, the 58-year-old host signed a multi-year contract to host the Miss Universe days before the show was aired. According to ET, Harvey is anchored to host the Miss Universe pageant for at least two more years, and that Harvey is the highest paid host of the pageant.

Harvey has been the topic of all social media platforms due to his mistake in announcing the winner of the 2015 Miss Universe. Harvey first announced Colombia as the winner but moments later, retracted his announcement and corrected himself.

"That's live television, the guy made a mistake. He felt terrible, he was humiliated, he felt he humiliated her. He was very regretful, he was very remorseful in that dressing room. That wasn't a good scene. I mean, he just felt miserable that he let so many people down," said Mark Shapiro, Chief Content Officer at WME IMG, during his interview at the Jim Rome Show. "It was just literally like he just read it wrong, and I was trying to remind him, it really takes a man to turn right around and go back up there in front of the audience and live television and say, 'You know, I didn't read this thing right.'"

When Rose asked Shapiro if he still wanted to have Harvey as the host of the future Miss Universe Pageant, Shapiro said that he absolutely wants him back.

"I definitely want him back, and I would hate to see him not come back. He's going to want a shot to redeem himself," Shapiro said. "Look, the world forgives, the world forgets. It could happen to the best of us. He was so well intended, and he's such a good guy, and it was really such a mistake that I hope people don't hold this over him other than for just a good laugh and let it pass."
